2011 Trail Improvements

We are putting the finishing touches on our 3rd consecutive year of new trails, trail improvements and new snowmaking. As usual, we were busy this summer tearing up the mountain to bring you more of the best terrain in the eastern Ontario - Outaouais region.

Calabogie is the only regional mountain that delivers new terrain and excitement every year. The word is out - watch us keep growing...

Here is a sneak peek of what's new this winter:

  • Two new trails have been built at the heart of our best terrain – they offer more skiing and riding options on the
    “Solar” side of the mountain.
  • The “Exhibition” trail underneath the Solar chair has been widened. It’s now a major laneway and provides alternate access
into Barrett Chute and High Falls. Watch Exhibition become a primary trail this season – inviting to all intermediate and
    advanced skiers and riders.
  • We are introducing a new home for the Slopestyle and Double Mogul Parks on lower Barrett Chute and Whistlin Paddy.
The treeline separating these areas has been removed and the mountain reshaped to create phenomenal terrain that is
perfect for the mogul park. The Slopestyle Park will be enhanced and located beside the mogul park.
  • New beginner terrain has been added to smoth the transition from the Beginner Bowl to the chairlift.
  • More tower mounted fan guns have been installed - enhancing our profile as the snowmaking capital of eastern ON and the Outaouais.

Over the next three weeks, we will bring you pictures of these new areas – stay tuned…
